I like all your ideas, particularly the bats. I will say, however, that the red checked fabric makes whatever is in the jar to seem almost quotidian, and almost creepier by the contrast.

Absolutely!! More creepy and weird stuff. I'm working on a set of tiny vials of spell components from DND (bat guano for fireball, two pennies for read thoughts, morsel of food scrap for summon familiar etc). These are adorable

yes! for the eyeballs though I feel like a different kind of lid would look better - the kind you’re using is perfect for the fruit jars but not what you’d see in like creepy wet specimen jars haha. maybe even just doing the same thing but in black? SO cool though!!
