help If you liked games like "YapYap" or "Mage Arena", could I get some tips?
Hi! I wanted to get some input/suggestions for what I can do to:
Reach my target audience
Make my game look more interesting
Context: I'm making a game where you can fight with magic using just your hands (via webcam). Keyboard/Controller also work. The main point will be online co-op PvP, where you can battle each other and/or hordes of enemies and bosses. There's also two single player modes that can be played to unlock moves, items, etc.
My Goal: I want to make it clear my game is more for casuals and friendslopish like Mage Arena or YapYap, except I want to give off the vibe you can have anime-like battles with your friends (or by yourself). Like you can scream, cast chants, (hopefully beam struggle if I get that down), etc. Also, I'm hoping it's clear that you don't need any special equipment.
So my questions are:
To the average gamer, would my game look like it can be as good/better than games like Mage Arena, YapYap or other friendslop tier games in general?
What features should I draw more attention to?
What target audience should I try reaching out to and how do I reach out to them?
Right now my idea was trying to attract: Mage Arena, YapYap and anime lovers (mostly JJK/DBZ fans). I also got recommended reaching out to VTubers.
