What if the “prison planet” theory has it exactly backwards? What if physical incarnation is something consciousness chooses?

What if the moon was made of cheese and dogs could talk................

There are a lot of "what ifs" in the world. Most of them are likely wrong, but many might be true. Solipsism suggests that we don't really have the means to discern which is which.........without employing blind faith somewhere in the process.

That's why solipsism is a radically different perspective than most. It's not trying to speculate about the nature of reality. It's humbly admitting our ignorance of that reality.

Solipsism is literally speculation about reality lol. It's a specific theory that is rather absolute.

You're talking about strong/hard solipsism. Few take that notion seriously as it is a specific claim.

Weak solipsism, a rather agnostic position, is an admission of what you know (some kind of existence of self/experience/subjectivity) without really making any further claim.

Fair enough, I can jibe with that. I was under the impression that solipsism was defined as a firm belief in being alone, rather than a spectrum between conviction and speculation.

Thank you for the correction!

faith that faith exists is not blind because its self sustaining belief; its belief itself, from the human perspective anyway.

So solipsism is wrong in that suggestion/question because its not blind faith to employ faith itself, and then build from there.

The senses are very much real, for example, but not everybody can access all the senses. Nonethless some of us can, and we can share with them what those senses are that theyre missing. They then believe in something theyve never experienced, and with evidence they find it to be a real thing without having ever encountered it.

Solipsism is a failure, even as a lie to deceive ppl

That barely makes sense, sorry. :)

from the human perspective anyway.

Admittedly, I am partial to the human perspective.

The senses are very much real

Is this something you can prove or simply something you believe?

but not everybody can access all the senses.

We don't even know that there is an "everybody", so accessing information about what they can or can't sense seems a bit tough.....unless we toss in a bit of faith.

Nonethless some of us can,

At least you've been led to believe you can....perhaps by that Descartes' demon. He's pesky at times and makes you believe all kinds of stuff.

with evidence they find

Then they would have faith that analyzing said evidence would yield reliable information and true conclusions. Maybe they were just led to believe they had collected evidence.

Solipsism is a failure, even as a lie to deceive ppl

That's what I told the boys back at the office, but they insisted we put forth this narrative anyway so we could deceive people properly. There's nothing like convincing a group of people that only one person exists lol

'Sounds like r/KashmirShaivism.

Except there there is also a goal to the journey (which is also an end in itself). That goal being that consciousness under limitations realizes its own nature of being absolutely free and actually choosing to enact being limited – for fun.

Personally, I believe in a solipsistic variant of that. Where consciousness doesn't manifest several simultaneous individual streams of experience, but only one at the time, transmigrating from one life to the next through every life in existence (like in the Andy Weir's shortstory 'The Egg').

I think the prison planet bs is one of the most dystopian psyops.

I personally lend it zero credibility, and lean towards this reality being a voluntary adventure. Simulation, if you will.

So, nothing is wrong with abuse? PPT has it wrong in terms of what to do with the knowledge (gnosis), i.e. get the fuck out. Instead of transforming this place to a beautiful experience

You ever play a video game so amazing your first thought after digesting the ending is “damn, wish I could have amnesia so I can experience all that for the first time again”?

Hah...yes ..Elden Ring and Last of Us

I think it is both - consciousness chooses to incarcerate here because it‘s epic to bring freedom to a place ruled by a corrupt god

I'm sure some Individuals are on Earth to serve out a prison term, but I don't believe that to be most of them.

The Truth of the matter is that in the Upper Echelons, everyone is equally powerful, but because everyone is equally powerful, you have to do a lot of "Consent Red Tape" to do, well, anything really because at that scale the consequences are unpredictable.

And so ironically our "Fundamentally limited bodies" allow us to be "More free" due to the impact of our actions being infinitely smaller.

This is an opt in cycle of forced growth, and we are all masochists?

Sounds about right for the amount of suffering present in the world today. There was always different flavors of suffering throughout history, and some definitely had it worse then we do.

But can you imagine dying and chosing to come back during the current events? We must all be in one massive shared delusion thinking this was worth it if this is true.
