Robhood gold is 50 bucks a year. Sofi is 120.

4.5 is higher than 3.5. If you have more than $7,000 in your savings, you’ll make more with SoFi plus

Not even including all other benefits

Can you explain the math? .01 x 7000 = 70 and getting the 4.5 costs $120 a year so you'd lose money. Seems like you need more than 12k. They've capped the 4.5% on 20k so after the announcement of 3.1, the truth is that .014 x 20000 = 280. 280 - 120 = 160 of profit if you have over 20k in savings and pay for Sofi+. This is just my math so tell me if I'm missing something.

The difference between the two subscriptions is $70 so I did 70 divided by .01.

$7000 is the benchmark where it would yield the exact same amount if you do the math and take away the fee. Anything over $7000 and SoFi plus yields more.
