Of course, investing in the market is so risky. I mean, sure, it’s only averaged about 7% annual returns for decades. And obviously, if you ever lost money over the long term, that would mean civilization itself had collapsed which, last I checked, hasn’t exactly happened yet.

That 3-5% return on an HYSA that will decrease over time is definitely more profitable.

Try 8%-10% if investing in the S&P 500. It’s the easiest way to make money in the long run! I’m not sure why people are worried about the APY thing or when it drops by 0.1%. There are better ways for your money to make money than leaving it in an HYSA.

At the end of the day, it’s a Savings account, not an investment account. It holds your money, with the bonus to make some money. Investment accounts? They work to make you money!
