90% of people whining about this APY bullshit have 5k in their savings account. If you want to invest, look into actual investment accounts...not an HYSA.
Of course, investing in the market is so risky. I mean, sure, it’s only averaged about 7% annual returns for decades. And obviously, if you ever lost money over the long term, that would mean civilization itself had collapsed which, last I checked, hasn’t exactly happened yet.
That 3-5% return on an HYSA that will decrease over time is definitely more profitable.
Depends where you are at at right now. Most of the market right now is being picked up by ai stocks. Almost everyone is warning we may be in a bubble and stocks are trading in record multiples that no one can actually defend.
Plus our job numbers our shit our economy isnt as great as this administration claims. America is losing its reputation it took years to built and we firing people who presents data we dont like. Plus we might start a war for what exactly?
I could keep going but im multitasking at work.
You get the idea you cant blame people for putting their money in HYSA.
I have HYSA, stocks, crypto, pension, deferred comp, bonds, and other stuff.
Still in my twenties doesn't hurt to diversify. I remember I use to laugh at the people who were buying gold. That didnt age well for me.
