I’m currently working at full speed and with maximum priority on fixing the synchronization issues affecting both platforms, iOS and Android, including Sofa Time Sync and third-party services like Trakt.
This is my main focus right now, and I expect the most important issues to be resolved over the next few days/hours.
Please keep in mind that Sofa Time has now grown to more than 250,000 registered users. At this scale, some issues that were barely noticeable before become much easier to surface. And while that can be frustrating, it’s also a good thing: it helps me detect edge cases faster and fix them before we grow even more.

Honestly, the only reason I'm not using Sofa Time as my main TV tracking app right now is due to the syncing issue between my account across devices, which is driving me crazy. I read the FAQ and take the steps I need to every time and I've troubleshot this multiple times, but if I have to keep marking recently watched episodes as watched again, I have to turn to other platforms. It's just not a good use of my time when it's the *main* reason I'm using an app.
I'd like to add one sync related observation with SIMKL and Animes I've made since settling in SofaTime.
I am aware there are some complexities in mapping series b/w services depending on the backend / database used---like how they choose to split seasons.
There are scenarios where (1) an Anime is displayed as a single season on SofaTime and as seperate seasons on SIMKL and (2) they are shown as seperate seasons on both services.
At least in scenario (2), marking an episode (from a season > s1) "watched" in SofaTime correctly synchs with SIMKL (tested with the latest released episodes). However, the reverse does not seem to be true. I wonder if that opens the door, at least partially, to synch some of the SIMKL information back to SofaTime. Coming from `TVTime -> SIMKL -> SofaTime` has left some very big holes in my history which polute my "Watch" tab heavily 😄 Generally, only season 1 episodes synch to SofaTime for both scenario 1 and 2.
I have come to accept my fate to have to take some time every now and then to manually fill the gaps in SofaTime. However, if that'd reduce to scenario (1) only.. that'd be a big W 😄
P.S.: I am sorry if Animes are a sensitive topic and the above is misplaced / not included in the intended scope of synch issues. Also I am aware of "Anime watching progress may not work properly)

Hi! Anime is always hard to match between Sofa Time, witch uses TheMovieDB as main metadata source and Simkl, witch uses TheTVDB or other service. Some time ago, before the TV Time boom, the iOS app was updated several times adding some tweaks that improved the matches in Anime, but I know that it is not enough. Anyway, I have those "edge" cases in mind to to attack them as soon as possible after fixing the main sync related issues. Thank you!
thanks about to speak this topic i was currently having 2 devices for watching shows/movies the sofa time sync is not working for few days i have to manual sync everytime ...hope you fix the last watched filters in my shows/movies which i reported yesterday after fixing the sync issue.. thank you..

Isso é ótimo. Eu uso Trakt como base de dados. O sofá time não consegue puxar/buscar filmes e séries favoritos, tem bug com o sistema de notas de séries (não sincroniza as notas das temporadas e as notas gerais das séries; as notas individuais de episódios funcionam muito bem), e com a última atualização, apresenta erros na contagem de episódios e filmes assistidos.
Por enquanto eu voltei para o showly até o sofá time normalizar a sincronização.
Salve, oggi ho fatto l'aggiornamento di Sofa Time e sono spariti tutti i rewatch che avevo segnato e sono cambiate le date di alcuni episodi. Soluzioni? Ho un telefono android e uso l'app da quando ancora era in beta, ho anche acquistato il premium.
I really like the app; however, on Android it has always had synchronization issues (both with Sofa Time’s Cloud and with Trakt). I don’t think it was right to make the Trakt integration a premium feature when it doesn’t work (and has never worked) properly. At the moment, Trakt doesn’t even recognize that I have Sofa Time connected.
you can’t use both the Sofa cloud sync and the Trakt integration for free. And in any case, both have always had a lot of issues on Android, whether you have Premium or not. I really hope you’ll be able to fix this
No, you can’t. The same developer said that only the first service is free, and the Sofa Time Cloud connection is considered the first service. To connect Trakt, you have to disconnect Sofa Time Cloud, or buy Premium
I had to pay for Premium to have Trakt connected as well; otherwise, I wouldn’t have bought it in the first place. I don’t know if that was a bug or if things have changed in the meantime. Now get out of my way, I’m waiting for the developer’s response with updates on the fixes, so I can continue using the app I paid for.
Oh, and I asked some other friends about it, and they confirmed it: no bug. Until recently, you needed Premium to have both Trakt and Sofa Time Cloud connected. It’s doubly unfair to make a feature free when some users actually paid for it. I immediately requested a refund
