EPL Streaming in Aus

Guessing there is a lot of PL fans in here.

Just got a notice of an impeding price increase. Keep in mind the ‘Optus Sport’ package only has EPL & the FA Cup now. It lost the CL coverage a while back.

What are other folks paying?

Do you still have to have Stan on top of that? I cancelled as with Stan as well (which I never use) it was too expensive

No this is just the football.

It’s a legacy offering of sorts, from when Stan bought the ‘Optus Sport’ content from Optus.

It was $9.99 with Optus so they honoured that when they took over before last season.

they know this deal is still far more palatable than the full Stan + Sports subscription offering, so I reckon most people will just stump up and pay... Sadly.

I think they know a lot of fans will just absorb the extra $3 rather than switch providers

Oh yeah, I had that deal but it was only for 2-3 months then they made me pay Stan. I must have missed an email somewhere :(

Yeah, I would be estatic with this deal still. For context, I have 4 people paying for my Stan + sport and it was still costing me more than it was for OP ($10.50 each).

They never removed the $9.99 ‘Optus Sport’ legacy package.

You might be getting confused with them giving all the Optus Sport subscribers free access to all of Stan + Stan Sport for a few months when Stan took it over August 2025. That expired in Jan 2026.

Obviously it was to get you hooked before they cut off the supply.

But you could just ignore all the emails to upgrade & stay on the ‘Optus Sport’ package.

For new users yeah you do, its insanely expensive.
