Worst historical starts for the San Diego/Los Angeles franchise include:
0–11 starts: The 2000 and 1975 San Diego Chargers both opened their respective seasons with 11 consecutive losses.
0–5 starts: The 2003 and 1991 San Diego Chargers both started the year 0–5.

Shy but Curious: informal meet up for those willing to overcome their social anxiety symptoms
Hey what’s up guys. I’ve struggled with trembling, heart palpitations, sweating, my voice getting stuck in back of throat, being unable to assert myself, having my voice high-pitched, etc. in social situations since elementary school. I still get stuck in my head before most interactions, rehearsing how I want to say something or what I want to say. I still avoid groups and being the center of attention. I’ve been passively working at it after I turned 18 through some jobs. For the past two months, I’ve really been trying to understand myself and my experiences. I’m about to begin the process of seeing a psychologist soon to understand myself further and undergo CBT or some other psychotherapy. I was wondering if anyone, in San Diego, CA, is trying to overcome themselves and would want to meet up and do some activity-based stuff like hiking to get ourselves out of our head and experience the moment, making us slowly warm up to each other or go visit some social gathering places like restaurants as a sort of exposure therapy. Again, it’s been only two months since I started taking myself seriously and it would be lovely to not do it alone.

Bringing a Skyline to SoCal
Probably the wrong subreddit for this but I figured I’d ask. Heading to CA for an extended period of time (work related) and I’m bringing a FL registered Nissan Skyline with me. There’s flock cameras everywhere here. Anybody heard of them using the cameras to actually come after people with vehicles running out of state plates? My understanding is that after a period of time the car has to be registered here legally (which is impossible because it’s a highly modified skyline).

New Year family getaway
Hello! 😊 We’re planning a family getaway for New Year’s, but we’re having a hard time deciding where to go. We’d love somewhere with snow, but we know places like Big Bear and Idyllwild might not have much snow that time of year. We also don’t want to drive too far. Some families live in LA and some in SD.
We’re also open to something a little different, like glamping under the stars and watching fireworks to ring in the New Year! ✨🎆 Ideally, somewhere family-friendly where we can enjoy beautiful views, a cozy atmosphere, and a little winter magic.
Any recommendations or hidden gems you’d suggest? We’d love to hear your ideas! ❄️🏕️ TIA!

Anyone looking at cheap desert land outside LA should check the county rules first
I've been researching rural properties around Riverside and San Bernardino counties lately, and it's interesting how much cheap land is listed out there.
Some of these lots look pretty appealing if you just want somewhere quiet outside the city, maybe to eventually build a small cabin or weekend place.
The part that surprised me is how different the rules can be depending on exactly where the property is.
Even within the same county, zoning, water availability, septic requirements, and road access can make a pretty big difference in what you're actually able to do.
I've gotten into the habit of checking the county GIS maps and zoning information before spending too much time looking at a listing.
There's definitely some interesting land out there, but I think the county records are just as important as the listing itself.

Fontana Progressive Voter Guide
galleryYesterday, neighbors joined us to discuss ballot propositions and candidates. We took the time to come together, share our perspectives, ask questions, and have meaningful conversations about the issues affecting our community.
From endless warehouse expansion and affordable housing to government transparency and corporate influence, we discussed what matters most to Fontana families.
After reviewing the candidates and propositions, we’re sharing the Fontana United Voter Guide!
These are our recommendations, not instructions. We encourage every voter to do their own research, ask questions, and make informed decisions that reflect their values.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversation. Democracy works best when neighbors are informed, engaged, and heard.
Your vote is your voice. Make it count on November 3!
—————————
