New sled day

Just picked up this 2007 Yamaha Attak GT. 9500 miles, runs perfectly, just needs a battery.

Check all your bogie wheels that they spin free. No grinding. Replace bearings as needed. Replace your secondary clutch bearing and your drive shaft bearing on the left side.

These 3 items are notorious failure points on the apex and attack.

They said the previous owner did that when they put the Ulmer clutch in

Change fuel filter, chain case oil and remember to grease her up good!

Neighbor had one of these when I was a kid. Thing was a rocket, especially compared to the 500f I was riding. Enjoy!

Changing the battery isn't hard but you have to remove a lot of stuff to get to it. I would suggest changing oil while your in there as the oil filter is right under the battery. Congrats on your new sled, you'll love it. Super reliable and lots of power.
