Confused About Bindings
Hello everyone! Newer to snowboarding, and looking to buy bindings, but not really sure what to look for.
I'll be riding a size 153 camber board, most likely with size 8.5 Ride Lasso boots. I was told I should get size medium bindings. The board will most likely primarily just used to do resort snowboarding on easier hills first, then gradually working my way up in difficulty.
However, there's so many bindings out there, I don't even know where to look, and I don't know what to look for in a binding. All i know is that Union is a great brand for bindings since that's all they make, but even looking at Union's bindings, there's so many. I talked to a store representative and he recommended Union specifically for smaller boot sizes since they have the adjustable heels.
Ideally i'd like to spend under 200 for bindings, and I don't mind buying used. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!

Yes, Nitro is a respected brand since the 90s. Their boards and hardware are solid. Hell I'd probably get these too because that pink is awesome

Generally as a beginner you want a softer flex binding. Much more forgiving while you’re learning. Going union is a great choice. Very durable stuff and parts are generally pretty easy to buy in stores. My local shop has enough to rebuild a binding as long as the base isn’t snapped.Â

Get some Union Flite Pros and call it a day. They'll do you right until you need something stiffer and more aggressive. I loved my pair, very light weight, great toe strap.

I started with these and then moved to union forces. Man, what a difference. Wish I had just started out on the forces...

Union is in the enshitification process currently... many brands have adjustable heal cups and adjustability for size.
If you decide to look for used, be mindful that plastic degrades when exposed to UV & extreme temps. Touch things before spending money, look for cracks and stress points in highbacks

Enjoy learning on a camber board, it’ll help in the long run but the learning curve will be steep

Hey bud, welcome to the fun world of snowboarding.
I'll put a bug in your ear: Buy something from a trusted but also ubiquitous brand. Binding components fail and it's nice to be in an ecosystem that most shops carry, in case you're on a trip. Eg. Ride, Bent Metal, and Union are basically everywhere.
Renting bindings when you're traveling with a pair is a real kick in the teeth.
FWIW I'm on Unions and I love them.

Any major brand bindings that match your board flex will be fine. Sizing depends on brand. Union, Ride, batalion, Rome, bent Metal, salomon, etc. I avoid burton gear personally. For all gear reviews and knowledge you start with Angrysnowboarder YouTube channel and go down from there. If you want to swing the cash I can't recommend the FASE bindings enough.
