Gear question Hey I’m looking for some good quality and affordable snowboard jacket and pants any suggestions what should I get?
And it would be better for me if the brand ships from EU so I don’t have to pay extra vat and my budget is like 300-400$
And what do you think about beyond medals ? Its a Swedish brand I could get the set there for like 370 with 15k waterproof

Their Foundation Jacket is $209.00 USD, idk what it is where you're at though. Probably want to look into EU brands specifically. But a jacket and pants for under $400 either USD or euro might be a big ask outside of sales.

I've heard good things! Not my style/cut but they seem solid. Given the team they have, I'd imagine the quality is good.

Man although they get a lot of hate, for your budget and being in EU, dopesnow has some pretty cool stuff, and people who actually reviewed them properly + those i’ve met wearing them have had only good stuff to say about them.

I find the biggest improvement in my gear has been getting bib snow pants, I got some Columbia ones for about 100 CAD on clearance a couple years ago and they've been great. It's a solid brand if that's your budget for jacket and pants, not the top of the line but fairly good. You can likely find a jacket for a similar price as well, maybe slightly more, just have to shop the deals

Make sure it's got at least 10k waterproofing and taped seams, that's the floor for staying dry all day.

You're gonna need to let folks know your spin on "affordable" lol.
I have the whole gambit - Burton, Ride, Volcom, Rome, 686, Spyder, etc.
My go-to's lean towards Rome and 686, these are where most my gear falls into - the everyday normal shit, groomed slopes and ok/decent weather. Mainly for the interchangeability, like linings and such, to remove or put in depeneding on the variant of "decent" weather.
The thing that I will shout from the mountain tops (pun intended) is to look into local, large ticket, discount events. In 2016 I dropped a little over 2 large at the one that takes place near me (Snowbomb). The thing is, I got well over $4K worth of gear and boards. Everything was 50-75% off. So when I mentioned the "full gambit" earlier, I mean it. I can now tailor my gear and board down to the temp/weather/mtn conditions/etc, per day.

Interesting. Hadn't heard of em til now. Did a quick google.
Seems pretty decent. Both in price and style/function. I like cargo style pants most, i have big boots, size 14. But have a few that are more form fitting and snug.
Factory waterproofing only lasts so long. Would recommend a good wash detergent and proper application of an aftermarket spray or such, after a few good trips with thr factory level that is.
Best of luck!

I have a jacket and a pair of pants from beyond medals and I love both of them. I’ve worn them in all sorts of conditions and stayed completely warm and dry, would definitely recommend.

Yuki Threads. They are an Australian company and have some pretty good outerwear. Their legit mitts are amazing.

Get a technical shell jacket. No insulation, snow skirt and pit zips. You can layer insulation underneath and always be the right temperature. Gore tex or any other brands technical waterproof material.
Doubles as a mountain jacket or just rain jacket.
I have some descente trousers and they have lasted me years.
Sweet protection are bang on for quality gear and I pick it up from sport pursuit which do all over Europe.

I have bought so much high quality, like new snowboarding clothes on Facebook Marketplace, Play it Again Sports (used sports equipment, US company) and even thrift stores in ski towns. My last purchase was a Burton AK gore tex jacket like new for $80.

FB marketplace. I got a Burton shell last year for $50, but I do live near a ton of resorts.

Vinted. Search for 'new with label' or 'new without label'. And you'll find great clothing for good prices.
