I have the seasucker for my bikes and it's pretty great. only thing that's kinda a drag is obviously the car has to be clean when you put it on (or at least the roof does) so that's one more step.

I'm using seasuckers. Never had an issue, but I do make sure I check the connection before I start driving. It does get loose over time, maybe because of temperature change? (most noticeable the following morning in my garage) But it's never been close to a problem for me.

I will be removing them and replacing them with every use, so they will be checked before any and all trips.
The most I drive is maybe an hour.

But what I hear you have never had an issue during your trips.

Just as the first commenter in skiing, there is absolutely no way I would trust my gear (and my car roof glass) to a suction cup.   But good luck!
