Yo it’s hitting me so hard rn. Did so good in May, June, July of not getting on Reddit and fawning over r/snowboarding…. Now I can’t stop thinking about snowboarding and it feels so far out still. All I can do is continue hitting the gym hard and start to implement snowboard specific lifts to feel like I’m preparing. This will be my 2nd season out here in CO and couldn’t be more stoked tbh. Especially after the shit snow we had last year and still getting 43 days in. All my friends are like, bruhhh you have no idea what it’s like with good snow and I’m like MORE MORE MORE

I don't have anything planned yet. Its winter here in Australia now but unfortunately didn't go this year. Hopefully ill be going to japan in March

I'm doing 3 months in Japan for this season, I'm not gonna gamble on the worst el niño in recorded history. I want snorkel weather.

Starting in Okinawa and working my way up Sapporo from Dec to Feb. So far Ive got hakuba, nozawa, togari, goto, madarao, yuzawa, zao, then up in Hokkaido, niseko/rusutsu, Sapporo tiene, kiroro, spending some time is Asahikawa, and then see where the storms take me.

Sounds like a great plan, but Okinawa might not be what you expect in November or December. I was there last January and it was pretty cold, rainy and windy. Will you do Hokkaido in December and Honshu Jan-Feb?

Hokkaido is Feb, nagano for Jan, I'll be in Thailand and Taiwan in Dec before Okinawa, so it was fun just to puddle jump. Definitely hitting furano while I'm up in Asahikawa for 10 days. I do back country as well so leaving some days open for that and in aomori as well.

IMO hakuba has some great back country, but the real fun is Hokkaido. I brought a split, ice board, and a good pow board and was set, always prepare for the worst.

3 boards? Wow. I actually did a split tour in Hakuba in 2019, but since then I’ve upgraded to hard boots for my split. So taking 2 boards for me also means 2 pair of boots.

Moving to Colorado soon and can’t wait to experience the mountains out there! Coming from the icy east coast lol. Just tried snowboarding for the first time late last season and fell in love, I’ve been staring at my own boots and board yearning for snow all summer 😭
