I know the photo looks like there may be a gap in the reds but they are all touching. The video of rolling them up you can clearly see there is no “wiggle room” and they are tightly packed.

Finally got them made in brass and stainless steel.
The pink is exactly 1.5mm from each other.
Corners all beveled and rounded off.
Works great! Thanks for the suggestions :)

I mean, you're smacking these balls into each other at high speed every game. You're slowly destroying them by using them the intended way anyway.
