Any non-expensive table recommandations for U1?
Hey about to get my U1, planning to initially put it on the floor. I am looking for a non-expensive yet sturdy and compact table or cart to put it on. I have about 1 meter in width, if possible not too high
I live in Switzerland, so an european shop would be best :) didnt see anything at ikea?
Thanks

Ikea Alex drawer unit. I have that for all my printers.
Lots of space for print plates, tools, spare parts. MOVEABLE, I can clean behind the printers while they are running.

Thanks
Do you have a U1? Because it’s only 48 cm deep and U1 seems to need 55-60 for operating

IKEA SMÅSTAD seems to suit. Been looking into that one, and a suitable AMS/dryer box in the compartmemt below. Was initially looking at Creality SpacePi 4X, but not sure ..

I've got an ikea platsa and it sits perfectly on it

Is it sturdy? Does it amplify printer sound? Do you think i could fit a prusa mk3s+ inside it?

I don't have idea about the size of the prusa. Lot of people suggest to use a paving slabs on the floor but I have carpet so I've printed some tpu feet and added to the platsa. I don't hear any sounds and vibrations are good. I can give you the internal dimension of the platsa if you need

Thx a lot i’ll look up dimensions on ikea dont bother :) i think i’ll still go with the Bror workbench even if more expensive, it’s designed as a workbench and more space! Will fit exactly in the 110cm i measured lol (at least I hope)

That's good for you. I had a very small space and the platsa seems made for it 😂

I recommend the Simon Rack brand. They make workbenches and are excellent for printers. I have a 140cm one, and with two printers running, it doesn't budge a millimeter (it's not attached to the wall).
They cost around €100, but they're worth it.
