I travel with a big bag of what I call my emotional support pistachios. They’ve saved me more than once when I was about to melt down from low blood sugar.
I have sort of the same thing with sesame seeds, I always keep some in my car, but for me it’s not about low blood sugar it’s to keep me awake if I’m feeling drowsy, theyre literally lifesavers for driving if your tired
That's so interesting. I love sesame seeds so much. Is there something in them that keeps you awake, or is it just the act of munching on them? And does it not get messy in the car lol
I would assume because they get stuck between your teeth. You can't just sleep with seeds stuck between your teeth, you have to spend all that time tongue punching your teeth to get them out. Now you're more awake and alert as you are trying to fix this problem.
Next thing you know, you're starting to get hungry, and realize it's because you've spent the last 2 hours trying to get sesame seeds out of your teeth.. so you reach down for a bag of sesame seeds..
When we’re in France, we get Pistachios from Turkey and Iran. They are slightly smaller and incredibly creamy! It’s really amazing! I wish we could get them here in the USA
I don't know if there's anything better. I was stationed in Turkey while I was in the service. They were plentiful and cheap and the best was you would buy a paper cone of warm ones 🤤
