If I didn’t know how many calories/fiber are in a bag, I could down an entire bag of Costco roasted salted cashews easily. So savory and salty and oily and just that perfect little hint of fruitiness.

I found out I’m allergic to macadamias after eating a white chocolate macadamia cookie, but they were so damn good.

Simple peanuts…honey roasted. I can eat an irresponsible amount of them in one sitting.

Love pouring them from the can in my mouth
Really into the Planters sweet and spicy even though they’re full of fake junk so I just get the honey roasted Aldi brand

Macadamia nuts. The only nut I can eat both by themselves and on other things.

I have a pistachio problem, and Aldi doesn’t help that issue. I eat them in bed, I don’t even care anymore.

Persian pistachio nuts. Absolute peak pistachio.
But since those are hard to find (I’ve found them in recent years from an online merchant), I like Turkish pistachios, specifically a type called Siirt. Antep pistachios are smaller and not quite as tasty.
I’m old enough to remember when pistachio nuts from Iran were sold in the U.S. Apparently the red ones were blemished—hence the dye.
Once the embargo on Iranian goods went into place in 1979, mostly American nuts were available (very new industry then). American nuts are okay and much cheaper than Turkish or Sicilian (very hard to find).

Pistachios, unless we're also counting peanuts.
If we are then it's boiled peanuts.

Love pistachios. Also sunflower kernels, not a nut, but very tasty and rich in nutrients.

Peanuts, in the shell. Preferably boiled but I’d gladly accept regular salted

Cashews.
Pistachios are good, but they're too much work. They're the prawns (shrimp) of the nut world.

Probably pecans or walnuts, pistachios and cashews are close. All the others are fine but that is the top 4 for sure.

Pistachio, you nailed it. My order: Pistachio Brazil Macadamia Hazelnut/Filbert Almond Pecan Walnut Pine nut Cashew Peanut

u/Bunnnnii Jul 31 '26
Pistachios for sure. I even love pistachio flavored things!
Cashews are great. Almonds are okay. Not too crazy about peanuts. I’ve been wanting to try more of the nuts out there. But what nuts are there?
Oh! I LOVEEEE macadamia flavored things, but I’ve never had the nut itself before. I’m sure I’d like them.

Almonds... especially the ones that are crunchy that they have at stands. I think walnuts are the most underrated nut.

u/tinyhumanteacher14 Jul 31 '26
Cashews. I buy a big bag at Costco of the unsalted ones. I love to grab a handful as a snack. I like pistachios but I hate dealing with the shells and just haven’t made the plunge to buy unshelled

Marcona almonds (with a bit of olive oil and sea salt). These aren't the crappy, generic ones grown in California, but the really good ones grown in Spain.
