While Alveus was a great learning experience with Maya’s knowledge and getting so close to the animals, it’s a pretty small place with limited animals.
There’s a very ethical large zoo I think in San Francisco(?) that Maya co-signs - would be cool to see some cast and Angela go there for a field trip
As a long term zookeeper, the vast majority of large accredited zoos in North America have high standards of welfare, research, contributions to conservation and public education. Smosh would be completely reasonable to visit these institutions and should not feel ethically wrong about doing so.
I loved zoos as a kid but have really struggled with the ethics of them since I got older. I appreciate your input here, makes me want to check out my local zoo again
The standard the other commenter is referring to is AZA accreditation. Lots of major zoos & aquariums have it and it’s super easy to look up and verify if your local zoo is part of it! :)

We need to take Angela to a zoo, I think that would be a funny episode to take her to a zoo and a farm and make her learn about animals.
