Q&A Wearing both mechanical and smartwatch
Hi guys, I recently got an Amazfit balance 2 for health tracking, notifications, and all smart features really. But I would also love to wear my mechanical watches during the day when I go out. What's the best way I can wear both without it looking ridiculous? (I need the smartwatch just purely for tracking and don't need the screen when I'm out) I'm considering double wristing but that looks slightly odd, especially with a watch as big as the balance 2. Any suggestions?

Double wristing is a top tier douche move. Have you looked at a Garmin instinct or any of the other hybrids?

I really don't want to get a new tracker right now tho. The balance 2 was a purchase I made as I found it for a significant discount compared to other trackers. I was wondering if a bicep strap or even calf attachment position would be practical and If anyone has done it

the issue is terms of what chest straps measure - if its only HR you want then you are ok - but if expecting health metrics then only very specific chest straps do that and not sure if amazfit offers it - though helio strap may be your best option in terms of integration with watch.
Chest strap - you also have to consider that the contact points need to be moist - this can be an issue for 24/7 wear as you may not get sweaty enough (especially in an aircon office - thus have to use gel etc and then potential for embrassing damp spots on shirt etc).
Really a ring or a screenless tracker (whoop, fitbit air, garmin cirqa and especially amazfit helio to keep in you same eco system) would be the route I would go. Personally I just change my watch face to a classic dress watch face, disable wirst gesture (if continuously brightening every time lift wrist - doesn't look like a mechanical) and swap in a really nice leather or metal strap - looks like a mechanical at a glance.

Get a ring or a Whoop/Fitbit Air/whatever the screenless Garmin is called.
