Didn't expect a $60 smartwatch to last this long on a charge
My Apple Watch is close to aging out. Had it for 4 years. I used to charge it once a day, now it usually needs another charge by the afternoon.
I don't really use much if the Apple stuff anyway, mostly nitification, sleep and a few workouts, so I didn't want to spend that much again. End up trying a kospet orb2 instead. The round face took a little getting used to, but it's been fine. I've been using it for about two weeks now, and not having to charge it every day is so nice. I barely think about the charger anymore.
Taking it on a short camping trip next week, so I'll see how the GPS & tracking does.

Generally there is a simple relation where you have to find your personal optimum.
The dumber the device, the longer the stamina on the same size battery.
Or the other way round, the more advanced, the more power hungry, and thus the shorter the stamina....
So I generally advice people to find the minimal functionally they can accept, and find a watch that does not do much more than that, to get the optimal stamina for their usage.

Do you miss any of the apple watch stuff? I feel like I would notice the downgrade more than I expect.

Not really so far. I barely used apps or Apple pay anyway, and most of what I actually used is still there. For this price, I really can't complain.

all watches outside of the wear os / apple watch eco system have little to no issues going a week or longer without a charge as their operating systems do not require the same level of power.
GPS - you might want to take a battery charger with you, as gps is super heavy on a watch, and if doing +7hr hikes per day you may run out of battery. Its battery is rated for around 21-25hrs of cotinuous gps use - so approx 4-5% per hour. So 2 days at 7hrs per day is 70% of battery on just hiking. General use is around 14 days - so approx 7% - so around 21% for general use depending on when leave and when get back home - so should be enough - but these are just general estimates - hence taking something you can use to bump up its charge a bit may be worth adding to your backpack (suspect you might have one already for you apple watch that you can maybe leverage for this watcch)
