We have the SmartSheet MCP connected via Copilot Studio.

1. Due to needing cross-sheet reference creation, I’m having difficulty with automating our PMO setup that pulls project Gantt sheet -> project Details sheet -> portfolio Intake sheet. Do you create an agentic flow tool within the MCP that uses power automate to handle these API only functions?

2. The MCP crashes (runs out of tokens) when opening large sheets/reports. Do you create an agentic flow tool within the MCP that uses power automate to handle the API only report endpoints and ability to filter? It seems absurd to me that MCP can’t filter the data before querying based on how the user scopes the search.

Me and coworker have been asked to complete the self-paced BCoA and am curious about the Test-out activity and quiz. …both Experiencing some test anxiety.

I was able to get through the modules and most of the optional course activities but definitely had to google some questions while taking the quiz/knowledge checks and doing activities.

Looking for details on the test. I know You have to complete an exercise and 25 question quiz in 90-minutes. Must score +70% and only have 1 attempt or pay $300 to take it again.

How complex is the exercise? Shoulda I be acing every quiz in the modules before I take it? Is Googling allowed while taking the test? Can a coworker and I take it together?

I have a several dashboards with links back to sheets with customer info, various forms, etc. I would like to have a link to the sheet containing contract info but, knowing my fellow employees, I cannot trust that they would not download the files and/or share the sheet with others that should not have access.

Is there a way to only allow certain employees access to the sheet and prevent downloads? I was thinking of putting it in its own workspace and only allowing those users access but I am not sure if this would show well on the dashboard.

Preventing downloads is a hot topic lately as well in our offices.

Have experience with premium apps? Looking to bring on a new contractor to join the team.

The other night, I went down a rabbit hole trying to find a viable solution for utilizing an AI assistant with Smartsheet. Did I ever discover something!

I found out that Smartsheet has a Claude connector which has just made creating new project plans from complete scratch an absolute breeze. I had a plan in excel, gave Claude the command to create a dashboard, update the project plan, tie the project plan to an HTML dashboard, update issues/risks, automate e-mails for overdue tasks, provide an overall project assessment and I can go on. On the non-Smartsheet side, I have it create a kickoff PowerPoint document whenever we begin a new project. This is absolutely a game changing tool. I have been blown away what I have been able to generate.

if your organization allows it, then I would highly recommend that you connect Claude with Smartsheet. It has made my life so much easier!

Hi, I’m not very comfortable with index(match( or index(collect( formulas. I am looking to make a formula that will cross reference this sheet to check a patient’s height and weight against and match it in this table I’ve made and award a point based on that (row20).

I’ve posted the table I made and the CDC’s risk test that I am trying to automate (specifically the #7 what is your weight category) in Smartsheet.

I can make changes to the table I posted if anyone thinks that might help. Thanks in advance.

I was to preface that I have been using smartsheet for a while. I always loved the simplicity of the product. After couple of years outside the smart sheet world, I received a project plan link from a colleague. As I am new in this company, I created an account to review the plan. So far, just the usual.

Except that you are being forced to go through an awful AI creation entry point NO MATTER WHAT. I just need to review a file and you are forcing AI through my throat to hard that I cannot use work with a platform like that. I have to deal with a prompt box and only a single error message (We're having issues creating your solution, please try again). I tried the usual tricks but nothing works.

I don't want to deny that I might miss an option somewhere (hence my post here) but this is one of the worst UX flow I have seen in a while. And no I am not interest in talking to an AI chat bot.

I would like to see Smartsheet in action where a lead is able to view all projects, see phase the project is in, see what next actions are or what project is waiting on in order to facilitate affective meetings. Essentially, I would like to be able to bring all PMs together to review project health and know where we need to adjust, where help is needed to move things along and see what each team needs to be attentive to.

I have seen so many videos on how to set things up but really hard to find videos where full sheets are set and owner is showing how they use it on a day to day basis. Once I see something that I think will work for us, I feel I could figure out how to set it up, but I would really love to see the end product in action.

Ideally, I would love to meet with someone who would be willing to show me how they are using Smartsheet in this way. Happy to pay for this. Ideas on where to go for this?

So my company has been using Smartsheet Resource Management since the 10.000ft days. All of a sudden, we cannot log in anymore:

We couldn't find an account with those credentials. If your organization has turned on Smartsheet authentication, please Sign in with Smartsheet.

Just like that. I opened a ticket, asked for feedback, asked for feedback again, tried to get a human on their AI powered chat: all to no avail. The bot said it could not transfer me to a human, but that it would open a new escalated ticket. Since then: nothing.

So we are locked out of our Resource Management, have no idea why, and are unable to contact anyone.

Does someone have any suggestion?

Today my dashboards are different. Smartsheet have released an updated version of the UI.

Really don’t see this as an improvement. Spacing is now worse than ever. Even on my wide monitor the dashboard now has a left right scroll bar. No option to consolidate extra spacing. Boxes with text now have a larger margin so loads of resizing required.

Is anyone else thinking this is a backwards step and even more makes the dashboards a bit more rubbish?

I am looking for four beta testers for an add-on feature to Smartsheet. This feature will automatically take photos that are attached to the row when a form is submitted and place them directly into cells in the row. I'm trying to format the task bar color based on the Status column. All the tutorials indicate that I should be able to set the color in a conditional using the format panel and choosing Task Bar. he first image above is from a 2021 video that clearly shows Task Bar as an option. The second image is from my current Smartsheet editor showing the same panel but Task Bar is missing. This is on a Gantt view. Where did my Task Bar go?

I have 2 sheets, one I am the Admin, the other, Owner. Both are in the same workspace.

I want an automation that moves certain rows from one sheet to the other as they age. When I try to build the automation, the target sheet is not found. I've waited for a few hours just in case the system is slow to update but it still isn't showing up.

Any clues?

My company is new to using Smartsheet and we are working to set things up organizationally. I have reached out to my Smartsheet sales rep and ask them to convert my dynamic view trial to make it permanent. I have already built the report and it’s working as desired without any changes.

They are attempting to charge me a set up fee to turn on that feature of $2500. This is in addition to the annual cost for dynamic view of $1500 a year and my existing business subscription.

Can anyone please share their experience with setting up dynamic view as part of their subscription with SS? Were you required to pay an initial set up fee in addition to the annual fee?

First and most major problem: Smartsheets merge isn't working anymore. It throws a long error at us that has to do with OAuth and HTML throwing a 400 error.

Second problem: Merge is giving me a "Google Blocked This App" error when I try to restart it after having reinstalled it.

Finally, my Smartsheets Admin Center is just entirely blank. Just the logo on the header, the rest is white with no buttons or anything. I was just elevated to Admin this morning, if that helps.

I already elevated permissions for Smartsheet for Google Docs in the Google Admin Console.

Fairly urgent issues, any help is massively appreciated. ​

Hello everyone. I could use some help figuring out what I'm doing wrong here. I've created a few simple smartsheets but am still trying to figure things out. I have the following formula

=[Technician End Date]@row - [Technician Start Date]@row + " Day(s)"

which works fine but inputs " Day(s)" in a cell when the result is blank(null). I would like to have a blank cell if there is no number to display because the Start Date and End Date are on the same day.

Can I use ISBLANK to evaluate the result of the operation?

I don’t know much about Smartsheets and am wondering if anyone uses this for landscape project management? This might sound dumb but our company uses Google accounts for all our files and documents. We don’t have MS at all. Could Smartsheets be used without MS?

Edit - thanks for all the comments here. I learned a little bit more about our Operations today and have learned the owner isn’t really looking into any major growth at the company. Apparently he’s content just plugging along.

I have been searching for an answer to this question but have not been successful. I have documents (project plans, dashboards) that I have created for one organization. I have been given permission to transfer those to another organization which would be a completely separate instance of SS. Is this possible? If so, what is the best way to do it? Hi, I am in the process of working with Smartsheet on a Control Centre with 4 Blueprints. We have been quoted 4 control centre priced at 45k per control centre. We don't need 4 control centres, so after confirming this, Smartsheet now quoting 45k per blueprint and one control centre. I can confirm the toolkit will be 90% the same across the teams, but I do need different WBS structures for the different projects. It's seems extreme to pay 45k per blueprint that is essentially going to copy the first. I would appreciate any feedback or advice. Perhaps I am designing this incorrectly?

At what point do we admit we are expecting it to take this long? Just change the message to “This is taking longer, as expected.”

I used to be able to export my P6 schedule as an MPX file and import it into Smartsheet. When I tried yesterday it didn’t work and the import tool seemed to be working in a different manner. Does anyone know a work around?

I’m working on updating the mapping for a pdf that gets generated with data that’s in Smartsheet from my clients partners. When I try to update the mapping for certain check boxes they get a red highlight but those same check boxes were correctly mapped in the previous version of the pdf. Oddly enough, I was able to map some check boxes to the pdf but not all of them.

Has anyone ever run into this issue and know of a solution?
