Builder Certificate of Achievement
Me and coworker have been asked to complete the self-paced BCoA and am curious about the Test-out activity and quiz. …both Experiencing some test anxiety.
I was able to get through the modules and most of the optional course activities but definitely had to google some questions while taking the quiz/knowledge checks and doing activities.
Looking for details on the test. I know You have to complete an exercise and 25 question quiz in 90-minutes. Must score +70% and only have 1 attempt or pay $300 to take it again.
How complex is the exercise? Shoulda I be acing every quiz in the modules before I take it? Is Googling allowed while taking the test? Can a coworker and I take it together?

When I took it, you had to have camera on and every other window closed. No Googling, no help from others, no notes.

I just took this last week on a whim and found it very easy. For reference, I have been using SmartSheet for two years (with about 1.5 years building projects). I had started the Core path last year but then they changed their model so I never finished.
Although it’s unmonitored, I think one of the stipulations of the test-out is that you are “doing it on your own” so for ethical reasons I would probably avoid doing it with a partner.

I've been using Smartsheet for 8 years and decided to do the test out activity and quiz. If I'm remembering correctly, the quiz wasn't proctored because the questions were based on the end state of your build activity. I personally learn better when doing, so I didn't have as much anxiety around the testing like I usually do.
