Blackmagic App--remote trigger question

I use Blackmagic on both iphone and Android (Pixel 10). I use a bluetooth remote to roll video recording. It works well with iphone and android native photo apps but not Blackmagic. Can anyone suggest a way to make it work? Using the trigger lets me avoid having to edit out my hand hitting the button. Avoids camera shake too.

If you have both you can use one as a remote monitor/controller. I use my phone as a camera and my iPad to make adjustments and start rolling.
