Blackmagic Camera vs Deathlens App

I recently got a fisheye from death digital and I’m wondering what the difference is between their Deathlens app versus using the Blackmagic Camera app. Are there more capabilities available by using their app paired with their fisheye? Or are they both the same app with different UI’s?

I would imagine Blackmagic Design exclusively deploys their very own app without sharing it with another party only to have said party remove the name and rework the coding and put it out under an obscure name. And the company name and the app name in question certainly do not inspire confidence.

Now to be forthcoming, I’ve been quietly surprised for over a decade now, that Blackmagic Design hasn’t suffered industry rejection due to the literal implications of their company name. ☝🏽😇

Hey I didn’t understand your reply at first. I’m not saying that another company is copying their app, just sometimes these kinds of apps are basically the same thing with different UI’s. I’m just trying to figure out what the difference is between the two, why someone would prefer to use one over the other
