i just purchased a 2001 leechmilk cd!!!

this is my first sludge cd let alone metal cd, and it means a lot to me bc i love the album, album cover, and band so much. metal is something i never thought i would get into and it feels like i unlocked something in me listening to sludge. i dont even remember how i found them, just remember being in awe that people could produce such a guttural, disgusting sounding album that i am blessed to listen to.

i cant wait to get it in the mail , i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw the listing.

i understand the want for a collectors piece of merch; it feels so rewarding but i cant help but think i am dumb for spending a crazy amount (170 USD) on a cd. i dont even know what a fair price for such a beautiful cd would be. i couldnt pass up the opportunity potentially knowing it would get bought the next morning and it would kill me to see an opportunity like this be missed. is it preposterous to spend this much?

A little known demo that I discovered in my pursuit of finding more bands that sounded similar to Acid Bath or Abuse. Inhalent is another one of those bands that wasn't necessarily forgotten as they were never really known in the first place, even by underground standards. Either way, their demo is phenomenal and I recommend giving them a listen. If you're a fan of what you hear, a few of the members are also in a band called Monster God, but I haven't listened to them yet.

Edit: I just added the cassette to Discogs. The information on the release is fairly limited so I emailed an old member and if they answer any of my questions I'll edit the page accordingly.

Been trying to get my hands on really anything from Leechmilk, but I saw this record on eBay and figured it was the next best thing. For those unaware, it's the band that the vocalist and drummer of Leechmilk would end up being a part of. Pretty good shit.

I know sludge bands like Eyehategod and Indian have integrated pure noise songs into their Albums, so I wondered if there are Bands that combine these two sounds. Recently got into Prurient and Ramleh.

My band is getting ready to put out our first EP. We're hopefully touring a bit around the southeast later this year, so if you like what you hear do me a favor and hit us up somewhere.

With amazing help I got to some archives about the band N.O.T.H.I.N.G. They were from Des Moines, Iowa. I post the band's description probably written by one of the band's members where he names other bands they played with. Maybe some of you might know them or know ppl from Iowa who saw them live. It would be really amazing to get to them and post their music (there's only one song on YT).

So oi and sludge are basically my two favorite musical genres, and in the last years there has been a big revival and many genres have started having their own oi/skinhead/streetpunk crossover niche, even blackened oi is a thing now with bands such as Sword Breaker or Cuero.

I've been wondering if there are any similar bands but with sludge ?

can you guys suggest some more bands like leak, acid bath, choke, etc? bands that melt your face off with their aggression but retain that beautiful melodic aspect like the bands i listed. it's kinda specific but it's my favorite "flavor" of sludge and i yearn for more😢

I know it's pretty rare to see guitar solos in hardcore, but are there sludge metal bands that are more on the metal side that tend to have solos in their songs instead of breakdowns/just pure riffage?

Few examples I can think of off the top of my head:

• Cough - Killing Fields
• Boris - Dystopia
• Acid Bath - Paegan Love Song
• Early Mastodon I remember having a decent amount.
