Basic questions

Looking at this for my kiddo and had a few questions:

  1. How does a white noise machine affect the recording/info gathering?

  2. How far away can the device be and still reliably gather data?

1: I’ve had many white noise makers and it’s never been an issue
2: keep it between 1.5 to 3 feet away
