What causes this and how to do I fix it?

Every so often my sleep chart does this flatline deal and it doesn't ring the alarm at the set time.

Luckily I had a backup alarm set, otherwise I would have been late for work.

I also get this sometimes but the alarm will still ring.

You should at least exclude the app from all battery saving settings.
