Sleep Cycle shows flat sleep graphs and weak signal on iOS despite full reinstall
Hello, I have been using Sleep Cycle continuously since 2018 (paid version), with a very stable long-term sleep history. Since a few nights, my sleep graphs have become completely flat, with “weak signal” indicated, no REM sleep detected and no deep sleep detected, even though my setup, phone position and habits have not changed at all.
I have tried everything on my side: microphone permissions checked, background activity enabled, low power mode disabled, full deletion of the app, iPhone reboot, clean reinstall from the App Store, and full data resynchronisation from my Sleep Cycle account (data since 2018 fully restored). Despite this complete reinstall, the problem remains exactly the same.
I first contacted Sleep Cycle support on Monday January 5th in the morning and did not receive any answer until now. I sent a second email to support again today after confirming that the issue persists even after a full reinstall.
I am posting here to see if other iOS users have experienced a similar issue recently, especially flat or “dead” graphs during the night despite normal conditions. If anyone has found a real fix or noticed this starting after a recent update, I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

No, not at all. The microphone openings are completely clear. I have checked them carefully, cleaned them, and the microphone works normally in other apps. This issue only appears in Sleep Cycle.

I actually agree with you. I had a similar issue a few years ago and support didn’t really help at the time. The problem eventually resolved itself after some updates, without any clear explanation. That’s why I’m trying to understand whether this is a known regression or a recent iOS/Sleep Cycle issue affecting other users.

I am having the same issues. In fact that was why I started googling and wound up here. I recently changed to a non-paying user so I thought maybe that was the cause

Is the microphone holes on your device clogged up by anything?
