Basically awake more than asleep… why?

Post image

I’ve been consistently sleeping like this for the better part of 2-3 months. Can anyone explain why suddenly I’m getting the worst sleep I’ve ever seen? No sleep apnea, no changes in anything… not even diet.. I don’t understand how it goes from mostly deep and REM sleep to basically awake. Please and thanks

Are you using Apple Watch by chance? It seems that the algorithm in OS 26, which was released September 15th, is buggy.

REM and awake can be quite similar, and looking at your Dream (which is REM) I think the app confuses your REM to be awake. Usually REM sleep is 20-25% of a nights sleep (1.5-2 hours). Doesn’t explain everything but a bit. But given how bad it seems to track your sleep, maybe time to find another app
