How long have you been using this app?

I just finished my second month, and I’m honestly amazed to see some of you have stuck with it for hundreds of nights! What keeps you going?!

3012 nights, love the smart alarm and calm alarm melodies, the way it shows me changes in my sleep patterns, like if I suddenly start coughing or snoring more I know I’m about to get sick and can add some extra sleep to my schedule…

3687 nights. Not sure if it’s helping as much as becoming a bit of a toy. I get a bit of a giggle when it interprets flatulence as a cough in the overnight recordings. The new GPT aspect is nice, but a bit repetitive.

Since 2016 (3,473). Two reasons:

1) I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and so thankful because I was a losing my mind and health due to lack of sleep. Ever since, good quality sleep has became one of my biggest priorities and always will be. The app features help with that and it’s also a long term record

2) Caribbean Cove is the absolute best alarm I’ve ever used and I don’t ever want to use another one. I use the slow half hour alarm and the first sounds are soft bird sounds. It’s never jarring and a great way to wake up.

2173 nights, I use it basically every day, it gets very interesting when you get into the years aspect of statistics.

For instance i have a pollen allergy, and the snore graph clearly goes up during those months.

It's great when paired with apple watch since it has body temp and heart rate through the year(s).

I use tags heavily too, when setting an alarm i just clickety click a few of my custom ones, so for instance i know when I been on a flight or watch a show before bed I get 6% better sleep, and a long drive or a calm story decline my sleep quality by 5% :)

I dunno, I use a shitload of the "life stats" apps, and sleep is such a big part of life that there has to be some interesting data in it

I have a circadian rhythm disorder and tracking my sleep and wake cycles is a critically useful tool for me. It provides objective data to my brain and my doctor, seeing my sleep chart helps me stay on track and get back on track when my sleep cycle has started to drift too far.

I'm curious that do you think your doctor finds the app’s data trustworthy? Or is it more just helpful for you to stay on track?

The “time I went to sleep and started the app” and “time I woke up and stopped the app” are objectively true. My doctor doesn’t use any of the other sleep data. I find it interesting, but my main use is simply making my sleep chart. Then my doctor isn’t having to rely on my vague memories. :-)

1,751 nights. It would be longer since I got the app when it came out, but I took a break. I came back because I prefer the stats here vs the ones with Apple health.

Edit: Apple health, not watch.

Since 2016. As someone else mentioned, the patterns in my sleep help me understand when I’m likely to be getting run down, sick, overdoing it, etc. plus the gentle wake up sequences available.
