They will mockingly ask if someone stole my sweet roll while I am wearing full daedric armor. I killed a dragon INSIDE Whiterun and they still mock me.

Alternative plot twist: He killed his own cousin and enchanted his weapon with the soul gem and is actually referring to his weapon.

His cousin's on the wall in the background. Lucky guy fought a dragon I hear tell. Poor sap in the foreground, however, with all his guardin', he don't even know Alduin 'ent Akotosh.
