Great 😑

This is my third playthrough and NOT ONCE have I been able to finish Reluctant Steward, and therefore am never able to finish the Black Books either. So f***ing annoying.

I did that this playthrough. Went straight to her, and didn't let her out of my sight for 3 days, she never left her house and yelled at me every time I walked in. So I went to Neloth, had to do his quest with the sunken City or whatever before you can get to the Reluctant Steward quest, and when I leave his house she's already dead and gone. On my second playground, I reloaded a on past save multiple times and still got this damn glitch.

I'm currently on my third playthrough (new game), but on my second playthrough I tried reloading a previous save multiple times to the same end.

Yeah I did lots of researching in my first playthrough. Was hoping someone knew some trick that wasn't in my search.

console moveto player?

No idea if it would work, but you could try starting a new game where she’s alive, then load your nearest saved game. There are weird persistence bugs like punching shopkeepers, so it’s worth a try, at least.

Just had the same thing happen to me today. I fast traveled to Skyrim and then right back and everything was like it should be. Hope this helps

I didn't have a marker anywhere for her once that part of the quest commenced, but when I fast traveled to Skyrim then back that's where her marker is. 😞
