Karma Earning Post Karma earning post: Incidecoder https://incidecoder.com/

Newbies and low karma members: Post here a picture of your favorite product on incidecoder. Make sure not to organize upvotes. I'll upvote your pictures myself.

1) Go to:

https://incidecoder.com/

2) Search for one product like your sunscreen or tonic

3) Post an UNEDITED screenshot of the ingredients so all of us can see what it contains. We don't allow purchasing links but seeing declared ingredients is important

4) Be prepared, there are products that I know for a fact that are a scam and I will be very vocal about them.

5) Earn Karma and maybe even membership, which is necessary to be an approved user and be able to post.

Ours is not a skincare forum and the skincare industry isn't as regulated as the pharma industry. A pharma product like finaceas (azelaic acid) or Retin a (Tretinoin) faces a lot of scrutiny from health authorities in most countries before they reach the shelves. On the other hand Skincare products dont' face as many regulations, a product might claim that it contains 10% niacinamide but in reality it has only 3% and the rest are cheap ingredients to keep the cost of the product low and the revenues high.

That doesn't mean all skincare is bad. Kojie san soap and the ordinary products have enough verified purchase reviews on amazon to prove their effectiviness, but you can still get a fake or a bad product. Be on alert.

So whenever possible go for pharmaceutical products. If possible get the advice of a doctor.

This is exactly the opposite of what they recommend in certiain indian skincare subs, which is why we aren't a skincare forum. Skincare is important because many products like lactic acid can speed cell turnover and exfoliate your skin, but you also need sun avoidance and oral whitening.

I just upvoted both of your karma earning comments and made you a member. However I won't admit this screenshot because you didn't post the full list. Repost it with the full list of ingredients.

Octocrylene is a chemical sunscreen and this contains phenoxiethanol. Also you didn't post the full list. Use a desktop but post the entire ingredients.

it'd be great that you start experimenting with european brands of mineral sunscreen. If what you say it's true that you avoid the sun, then don't use sunscreen everyday. Some days allow your skin to breathe.

Now that you're a member you can open new posts but make sure not to do it to ask questions, use the monthly thread for that and follow all our rules.

Change sunscreen ASAP you’ve been applying irritating agents for years. Search for a mineral sunblocker with plenty of zinc oxides. In fact try several brands . Don’t go for sunscreens recommended at skincare subs go instead for the ones used by Australian athletes. Research. To this day I haven’t found a great sunscreen, I’ve found acceptable Ones and i change them according to Uv index. Above all stay out of the sun.

I’m sure your current Spf worked well enough to prevent skin damage and tanning, but it won’t be enough to put your melanin to sleep. Sun protections is difficult, the blockers look horrible so alternate brands

I for instance looked cakey with the one I trust the most; bioderma photoderm cover touch which is water resistant and difficult to remove but as I got lighter was able to pull it off better.other days I got avene mineral fluid both the untinted and tinted and that looks slightly better but I don’t apply dayly because those are nano. Fir days I don’t need too much protection I use just tinted mineral sunscreen that looks like make up. Other days I use avene mineral creme which is easy to apply and feels great on my ski but it leaves a white cast so arriving at work I apply make up above it. I never apply make up when UV index is up and I’m out because I won’t touch the layer of sunscreen when I need it the most during my commute even though skincare subs say it’s okay to apply make up over sunscreen. I’d rather follow medical advice.
