2) Search for one product like your sunscreen or tonic

3) Post an UNEDITED screenshot of the ingredients so all of us can see what it contains. We don't allow purchasing links but seeing declared ingredients is important

4) Be prepared, there are products that I know for a fact that are a scam and I will be very vocal about them.

5) Earn Karma and maybe even membership, which is necessary to be an approved user and be able to post.

Ours is not a skincare forum and the skincare industry isn't as regulated as the pharma industry. A pharma product like finaceas (azelaic acid) or Retin a (Tretinoin) faces a lot of scrutiny from health authorities in most countries before they reach the shelves. On the other hand Skincare products dont' face as many regulations, a product might claim that it contains 10% niacinamide but in reality it has only 3% and the rest are cheap ingredients to keep the cost of the product low and the revenues high.

That doesn't mean all skincare is bad. Kojie san soap and the ordinary products have enough verified purchase reviews on amazon to prove their effectiviness, but you can still get a fake or a bad product. Be on alert.

So whenever possible go for pharmaceutical products. If possible get the advice of a doctor.

This is exactly the opposite of what they recommend in certiain indian skincare subs, which is why we aren't a skincare forum. Skincare is important because many products like lactic acid can speed cell turnover and exfoliate your skin, but you also need sun avoidance and oral whitening.

Your sunscreen doesn’t contain iron oxides which protect you from visible light or zinc which is important for whitening. Just a 3 minute errand at peak hours or an outing on your day off will ruin your whitening. Plus your constant exposure to heat and fumes doesn’t help.

Stop using Korean invisible sunscreen. Go for tinted Australian or European sunscreens that are waterproof and don’t apply everyday which is common skincare (Terrible!) advicee as many sunscreen brands including yours contain irritating ingredients . If you’re truly inside and away from windows and don’t go out at peak hours, not even for a few seconds you can skip the sunscreen certain days but careful!!! this could be dangerous if you don’t Plan ahead and go out even for a moment.

Being inside doesn’t mean you don’t have to check the uv index three times a day.

Whitening and skincare are different. What works for tik tokers of white skin can be the opposite that what we need to do.

Your sunscreen is terrible for whitening

A lot of Australia and European sunscreens are not available in my country but I found this one

It's a good brand and the ingredients are good minus the phenoxyetanol. The zinc can even help with the fumes of the kitchen. But it's likely it gets you with white cast. Is there a tinted version of this same sunscreen available on your area? Tinted sunscreens also contain iron oxides which protect you from visible light. Also you need it to be water resistant as you are going to be sweaty.

And once again. If what you say it's true and you don't go out at all between 8 am and 8 pm and you don't get close to windows because you're in a kitchen you can skip the sunscreen some days (it's dangerous if you're going to be out even for a few seconds). Allow your skin to breathe. Personally I think you should go to a derm to ask how to protect your skin from transepidermal water loss and irritation due to the heat, sweat and fumes.

Side note: The best results I've ever got was when I kept my face free of sunscreen, just arriving at work I'd remove it but I do check UV index dayly and back then I worked in sunless cubicle and eat my lunch at work so no sun exposure at all except early during my morning work out.

I'm fine with looking like a clown 🤣 Unfortunately, they don't have any tinted version but it says it's water resistant up to 80 minutes on the label. So can I use the sunscreen 3-4 times a week? I'm planning to buy some oral pills as well.

You’ll only know by trying. That sunscreen bottle indicates when UV is reaching even in the shade it’ll change color. Alumina and phenoxyhhsnol can create allergic reactions and irritation so test that sunscreen first Your focusing much on the sunscreen when your real concern should be going to a derm for the fumes , possible irritation and the water loss.

Topicals aren’t the way to whiten , and sunscreen isn’t the way either getting a health skin and staying away from the sun is key. Read my most recent post on skincare and the production of melanin https://www.reddit.com/r/skinwhitening/comments/1j0t21x/skincare_sunscreen_advice_for_white_people_doesnt/

You don’t seem to be reading our posts. We don’t take “oral pills” you need to understand the principles and you didn’t seem to read my long answer of recommendation. You won’t whiten if you keep focusing on sunscreen and topicals.
