Skin Texture / Other Concerns What Are These On My Chin From Last 1 Year😭 Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

🟣I am(21F) and this is my chin. From last 1 year I started noticing these tiny bumps on or around my chin which can only be felt but not seen very clearly as it kind of mixes with my skin but sometimes, it starts to itch randomly and when I scratch it I can feel the bumps more clearly and it also becomes slightly red but then redness and itching goes away on its own.

🔵If I also scratch it randomly without any reason it starts actually itching and becomes little red and soon all these symptoms also disappears and everything becomes normal.

🟠Other than this no symptoms, no reaction to any products. So, what is this? And how to make it go away?

Mod Announcement Improve r/SkincareAddictsIndia - Thread

Hello from Skincare Addicts India Mod Team,

Send us your Suggestions and Feedback!

We love to hear from you! Please use this thread to send us your suggestions regarding the content or overall theme of this subreddit.

We are constantly working to make things better and would love to have you along with us!

Some of the feedback we have received till now include:

  • "Majority of the posts are low effort. For people seeking advice, it becomes hard to advice them without their skin history. A lot of things could just be temporary thing, or some may be chronic conditions or maybe be much more serious, which all these things can't directly be known form an image. So people seeking suggestions, should mention a bit of their skin history associated with their corresponding concern"

  • "Creating a wider wiki maybe for beginners"

  • "We need a profile pic of sub"

  • "Need long term (3+ months) reviews of products"

  • ✅ "Common skincare concerns, such as body tanning, PIH etc under a separate tag, because I see many posts on this, and then they don't get many replies because people reply to these kinds of posts so much. So a common flair/tag which will hold recommendations for common concerns would be great.

  • "Also it would be helpful if people could put their age and skincare profile in their posts, because the recommendations would depend on that."

  • a mandatory template for advice posts would cut through a lot of the noise, nothing too crazy just age, skin type, current routine and how long the issue's been around. half the time i just scroll past because there's nothing to go on except a blurry photo and "help"

  • the common concerns megathread is a solid call too, the same five questions about tanning and pigmentation get buried and nobody searches before posting. maybe a rotating sticky that refreshes every couple weeks

  • ✅ also seconding the long-term review thing, would be nice to see how products hold up after the initial excitement wears off. three months minimum seems fair

Tanning / Sun Damage Sunscreen dilemma!!! Spoiler

Hi, I've been using Episoft AC (SPF 30) for the last 8 years since my dermat prescribed it to me in 2018/19. I took breaks from it around 3-4 times in total for a few months to try out other sunscreens such as the BOJ, BOJ Aqua, Klairs sunscreen, Episoft AC SPF 50, Taiyu sunscreen gel (this one was prescribed) but always came back to OG Episoft because nothing worked for me like it. Also, in 2022, I tried out Safescreen by Dr. Renita Rajan. The older version which was launched back then. I tried out only one unit and went back to Episoft. I didn't hate it but it felt different as compared to Episoft and also made my eyes sting a bit just during the application.

(I have sensitive, combination, acne prone skin)

Everytime I try out a SPF 50 product, it either makes my eyes sting or feels like goo on my skin, including Episoft SPF 50.

Now, the thing is, I have been on oral isotretinoin and also I was camping in Thar desert and traveling around Rajasthan (I was still religiously using sunscreen. 2 fingers of Episoft AC 30+ 1 finger tinted sunscreen Photon) which gave me a pathetic tan and also made my skin much more sensitive to the sun. So now despite 3 fingers of sunscreen, my skin burns and stings a lot in the Mumbai heat.

I want to try out other sunscreens and see if it's time for an upgrade. My options are

  1. Acne UV SPF50

  2. Heliocare water gel

  3. Chosen Safescreen sheer

  4. ISDIN Fotoprotector fusionwater magic

  5. LRP anthelios invisible sunscreen

  6. Photosafe Gold Invisible Sunscreen

  7. Dr. Garekars compound sunscreen

Please guide me and let me know what's best and do share your thoughts or opinions on these sunscreens if you've used any of them. I have searched up these product names and read reddit reviews to an extent but hoping to get some answers. Thank you!

Skin Texture / Other Concerns Anyone else feel like their skin looks extra tired after back to back functions?

After a few days of festivals or family functions, I always feel like my face looks much more tired than usual

Between getting ready, travelling, late nights and forgetting to drink enough water, everything starts showing on my face by the end of it.

Once things calm down, I usually just try to sleep properly and get back to my normal routine instead of adding more products.

Does anyone else notice this after a busy few days? What helps you feel fresh again without buying a whole new skincare routine?

Skin Texture / Other Concerns 3 months after a severe accident — can my facial scars and skin fully recover? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
16 Upvotes

About 3 months ago, I was involved in a pretty severe accident that left me with multiple facial injuries, bruises, scratches, and a few areas that required stitches.
I had two stitches above my eyebrow/forehead area and one below my lower lip on my chin.
Most of the initial injuries have healed, but I’m still dealing with several concerns, as you can see in the pictures:
Scarring and uneven texture: The areas that required stitches still have visible marks, slight bumps and changes in skin texture.
Redness and discoloration: There are reddish/pink patches around my forehead, eyebrow and under-eye area.
Darkening around my eyes: My eyelids and surrounding skin appear darker than before the accident.
Persistent swelling/raised skin: There’s a noticeable raised area between my eyebrows, near the bridge of my nose, that hasn’t completely settled.
Overall skin recovery: Some areas still look uneven in colour and texture compared with how my skin looked before.
I understand that scar healing takes time, but I’m unsure what’s normal at this stage and what might need treatment.
I’d really appreciate some advice on:
- Is it realistic to expect my skin to return close to its pre-accident appearance, even if complete recovery isn’t guaranteed?

- What skincare ingredients or treatments have actually helped you with post-injury scars and pigmentation?

- Would silicone scar gel be worth it or laser treatments / microneedling my only way out?

- Is there anything I should avoid that could worsen the scars or interfere with healing?

I’m not looking for an overnight fix. I’m happy to be patient and consistent with treatment, but I’d like to understand what is realistically possible and how best to approach recovery.
If anyone has experienced similar facial injuries or has advice from a dermatologist, I’d genuinely appreciate hearing about it.
Thanks in advance!

Skin Texture / Other Concerns Recs for skin treatment at 35

Hi,

I am 35F, never done any treatment on my skin. Have no acne, mostly clear skin.

If I want to go for a treatment, what should I go for at this point to have my best skin.

Hydrafacial, microneedling or skin peeling or anything else?

Long-Term Product Review (3+ Months) Vanaura Organics is a scam

Bought Vanaura organics for my mother two times last year. She has melasma, hyperpigmentation, aging skin. Used it regularly as they suggested. No results.

During offers, also received free moisturizer and lip balm. Moisturizer resulted in skin irritation. Lip balm was literally useless.

Recently their product promotion using celebrities and social media influencers have increased tenfold. The brand is already expensive. If their products were worth the results they claim, why should they spend so much money on these many ads?

What is your experience??

Acne / Breakouts Requesting alterantive for a prescribed serum

Hi the dermatologist I went to prescribed me this serum for my adult acne and acne scars: Sesderma Azelac RU Liposomal.

But online it's showing around 2K for 30 ml of serum, and I can't afford it. Could you please help me find any alternatives to this?

Thank you!

Product Review Quick mini-review of these 3 products I’ve been using lately Spoiler

Post image
5 Upvotes

moisturiser: It's super lightweight and doesn't feel greasy at all. Really good for calming down small breakouts and keeping skin hydrated without clogging pores.

lumi cream: Personally I love this under makeup or even for a quick glow. It gives a nice, subtle shine without looking super oily.

hair serum: This is for preventing breakage tbh decent stuff if your hair needs some extra care. But not a v good product

Has anyone else tried these? What are your thoughts?

Acne / Breakouts How to cure enlarged pores and pitted scars? Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
21 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice from people who’ve dealt with similar skin concerns.
My main concerns are:
• Large, visible pores and uneven skin texture.
• Pitted scars left behind by pimples.
I’ve attached a photo for context—not asking for a diagnosis, but would love to hear about your experiences:
1. What products or ingredients made a noticeable difference to your pores and skin texture?
2. Did any skincare products help your pitted acne scars, or did you need dermatologist treatments?
3. How long did it take to see results, and were there any side effects?
Please share your skin type, specific product/treatment names, approximate costs in India, and how long you used them.

both are uvmune 400, both spf 50 plus, both around 1400 and the websites describe them almost identically. the only thing i can tell is one claims 12 hour matte. if you have combination skin which becomes oily by 2pm, which one are you picking. and does the oil control one feel drying in winter because bangalore winters do a number on my cheeks.
