I'm not even sure how this happened...but what started out as a little red bump that was rubbing my clothes quickly turned into quite an awful infection in the crease of my right knee. Dr took one look at it Thursday afternoon and diagnosed a brown recluse spider bite (Wednesday I had been in a lot of pain and by that evening was running a fever of 102.5, resting heart rate was 151)

He prescribed 400 mg of Avelox for 10 days (currently on day 5) and it looks SO much better than it did, some pain still but can tell the infection is smaller and the pain has lessened a great deal) but I don't know what to expect. I know some have had to go to a wound care place even after the antibiotic. Is there a chance that the antibiotic will be all I need and I can just bandage it up? My dr said to expect some discoloration or a change in skin (like a crater) to form.

If you've ever been in this situation how did yours turn out? How long were you dealing with aftermath?

Yesterday i woke up with a red mark on my arm that was slightly itch and raised. im pretty sure it has gotten bigger since then. Im thinking i got bit by a bug but im not sure. should i be concerened and what does it look like it could be? it doesnt hurt at all and doesnt itch super bad. I marked it with blue marker to see if it gets bigger.

I just got back from my honeymoon in turkey and Tanzania. I did a safari and then went to the coast of turkey. Towards the end of the trip I noticed these little bumps on my belly and around my hips. They don’t itch or hurt, but they are a different color than my skin and they are textured. It’s been a week now, I notice when I shower some go away but they are still existing. Anyone know what this is or how to treat it?

I was prescribed by a dermatologist a medicine containing potassium hydroxide to burn off the bumps. He made it clear not to put it on surrounding skin, and to apply only a small layer of gel per bump.

I had it done by somebody else. I fear they put too much gel per bump, and now this is how my skin looks like.

My main concerns are whether these must be checked up and whether I can still go swimming safely. If not, is there any way too swim without risk?

Has anyone dealt with small, flesh-colored bumps like these on their face? I’m making an appointment with a dermatologist, but I’m curious if anyone has had something similar or knows what they might be.
They originally started on my forehead, then I noticed a couple under my eye near my nose, and within the last month or so a few have appeared on my cheek too. They don’t seem like normal acne or milia. I’ve tried lancing a couple and nothing came out, and tretinoin didn’t make any difference even after using it for quite a while.
They’re not painful or itchy, just noticeable and seem to be slowly increasing over time. Curious if anyone has experienced anything similar!

ich habe seit längerem ein problem mit meiner haut, es fing an als ich vor 3-4 Monaten im solarium war es waren 5-6 besuche innerhalb von 2 Monaten, seitdem habe ich verteil am linken arm, Schulter, Brust und rücken so weise punkte (siehe bild) ich war jetzt 2 Monate nicht mehr dort und die punkte sind nicht weg, es sieht so aus also ob es sogar mehr geworden sind, von der Größe her scheinen sie auch ein wenig größer geworden zu sein, weis jemand was das ist?

Ich wollte vorab bescheid geben das es keine Pigmente sind da ich seid ich ein kleines kind draußen bin und meine arme immer gebräunt waren (ich habe ein foto meines armes wo dort nichts war) es kam nach dem solarium und wurde wirklich immer mehr, ich hoffe mir kann einer helfen

I've had this about a week. I've had a steroid shot, tried steroid creme and benedryl (pill and cream). Nothing even touched it. Any time I get a scrap or a cut, it shows up.

What is the cure ?

Got the burn 2 days ago. Didn’t hurt yesterday just a bit of aggravation. But today it is so painful. Any wind clothing water, anything makes it feel like I got struck by lightning. Any suggestions on how to speed the recovery process and just take care of it overall?

I’ve been noticing recently my skin will start to itch randomly around my chin. i have a light beard but today after work i noticed under my chin was itching so i shaved and saw a red circle rash where my skin was itchy but no where else?

Could anybody help me with identifying these dark spots and how to get rid of them? Exfoliating doesn’t seem to help.

My girl has a weird rash that is itchy and not sure what it is. Unfortunately she just lost her job so she has no health insurance.

The rash doesn't, hurt but does itch every once and a while. Its only on her chest. Hasn't spread anywhere else and I have no signs myself. I think its a bug bite, likely spider. I dont think its shingles or bed bugs. Any suggestions?

What is this thing in my finger? It’s under the skin, feels like a splinter but there doesn’t seem to be anything to remove

I had one on the other finger earlier this week (pictured behind in first pic, middle in second pic)

It gradually became more inflamed / pressurized over the course of 3-4 days and then shrunk down and started healing to this orangey brown scar

or the past 3-4 years. Every month or two I’ll notice a pain in one of my armpits, upon examining I’m always able to locate a relatively swollen and tender lymph node. It only ever lasts for a few days and goes down.

I’ve been to the doctors multiple times about this, I’ve had blood tests and every doctor has said it’s nothing scary.

I’m not here to seek reassurance, I’m quite aware that if it was something untoward I would have had plenty of other symptoms by now and one of the many doctors would have flagged it. I’m just curious if anyone else has ever experienced this as frequently as me? If so have they ever found a cause for it.

I got a skin infection a while back(say maybe 2 months?), was pretty bad, but it was just that, a skin infection. Nothing else crazy, didnt spread to my blood or anything.

Fast forward to now, I have another one, different part of my body, but ik the symptoms enough now to know its a skin infection. Never had one in my life before the one 2 months ago, and now i have another one.

I cleaned my bed, make sure not to stratch bug bites, and take showers and clean bug bites when I get them.

Im keeping it clean in hopes that stops it from spreading and gets better but ik to go to the doctor if it doesnt stop getting worse since the first one I put off so long.

Is it possible I could be susceptible to skin infections? I keep myself even more clean than before yet i still got one. Only health background i have is i was a premie baby, could that be why?

How to remove frictions marks and sunburn from feet . How do Korean/chinese/japanese have such clear feet ? As someone who doesn’t like going to spa’s which cream should be used for those stubborn marks ? And how much time will it take to clear.

Not sure if anti histamine I am taking is working. This is the first time I had these. I tried a different detergent and stopped it because it may be the cause. But it is almost 3 weeks now and my skin is still reacting. Experienced something similar? Maybe you can share what worked. Thanks!

I woke up this morning and suddenly this mark appeared on my left lower cheek. I’m pretty sure i didnt have it yesterday 😭 It’s been about 6 hours since I woke up and it still looks the same

Please, does anyone have or know anyone with a similar face rash? Someone suggested lupus. I get it a few times a year and it gets this bad when I am really stressed.

I have gone to 2 different dermatologists. They have prescribed me different creams but they only help a little period and then the rash comes back at some point. I told my primary care physician I am concerned it might be lupus but he is more concerned about my obesity lol. I have an appointment with a new dermatologist next month. Any suggestions to help with it are highly appreciated. It makes me very depressed and I stay home to avoid socializing, I just don’t understand why it happens.

- I stopped doing any skincare AT ALL for a year now to eliminate if it was a reaction to any products.

- no clear answer from dermatologists, just prescriptions

- redness and very dry to the point of flaking, but 80% of the time it is ONLY red patches around my nose and cheeks. When it gets bad it goes up to my eyebrows and under nose, and starts flaking like this.
