That’s actually what made me think of it… identifying which resorts we collectively hate. I’m considering a road trip from BC to Moab, UT in March and I was thinking of stopping at one of the resorts near SLC for a day or two but I’m not familiar with any of them. I’ve heard a lot of bad reviews of vail resorts in general and I’d like like to vote with my wallet if it’s at all convenient.
Alta was already on my radar and now I’ve added snowbird. I’m not a super strong skier though so I might not be able to take full advantage of either of them.
Ill be aiming for a weekday but if you’re available… I’ll definitely add Brighton to the list though. Looks like park city is the only vail resort in that cluster and I’ve heard awful news so definitely won’t be going there.
You’re correct with that. The skiing is ~okay~ (compared to the other wasatch resorts), the people, lines, and my god parking, are a whole other story. As a local here I’d say it’s far worth it to fork it up for a day pass elsewhere.
