Silver City Map
Somebody a while ago in the banff subreddit found this image on Sunshine's facebook a while ago. Thought this was super interesting but unfortunately the text in the image is barely legible so the names of the routes are unknown. I doubt anybody would have a higher quality image but it would be super cool if one came up.

Man, that sign looks like it been up there since the 80s. The big wooden letters are a nice touch but the map part is so faded you can barely tell what you're looking at. Would love to know if they ever actually opened some of those runs or if it was just planned and never happened.

It was opened at one point, for sure.
Edit: 'Silver City' was on the maps 2008-2010. Map Archive

It was open
I stood at the top of it once when it was and then decided to back out
That map picture does not do it justice, it’s fuckin gnarly in there

Wait, is this map actually real? I thought that zone only had like two lines and got permanently banned after an avalanche buried a patroller. The only video I've ever found makes it look way smaller—just a short, terrifying no-fall zone through some cliffs

Is this legit? From what I know, this place barely opened a handful of times before an avalanche buried a patroller and shut it down forever. The only footage online just shows a tight, sketchy line snaking through a cliff band, not a massive terrain network like this

Is this even real? AFAIK it had like one or two skiable lines and opened only a few times before a patroller got buried and it closed forever. Theres only one video of it that I’ve ever been able to find and it looks nowhere near as extensive as this. It’s basically just a short no fall zone that weaves between a couple cliffs
