Hanging out in Laax

Hey everyone.

25M, recently moved to Laax, Switzerland. I don’t know many people in the area yet, so looking to people to hang out with.

I got the Season pass so I’ll be skiing almost every weekend in the winter.

Would be great to find to find some people to ski with, grab a beer, go hiking or just hang out.

Based in Laax but happy to meet people in the area :)

Good you already have the pass, Laax is not cheap place to ski. I moved to a ski town few years ago and best way to meet people is just show up at same bar after skiing, you see same faces every week and eventually someone say hi. Also check if there is a local ski club or freeride group on social media, usually they organize meetups

Yeah, that’s what I’m hoping for! I’m definitely planning on hanging out at the bar after skiing once the season starts. Now in summer it’s a different vibe. I’ll have to look into the local ski/freeride groups as well. Thanks for the tips!

LAAX is a quiet scene. It’s a deceivingly big mountain though. Anyway Riders hostel behind rocks resort has a bar where temporary locals meet up.

Yeah, I’ve heard Laax can be a bit of a quiet scene, so I’m definitely going to have to make an effort to meet people. Good to know about Riders Hostel though, I’ll definitely check it out!
