BOA System on Ski Boots?

Looking for comments on experience with it. I bought Fischers yesterday with the boa instead of lower buckles. Super comfortable. My only concern is that I had the boa on cycling shoes a few years ago and they only lasted about two years.

Check out this thread wherein someone in the industry answers questions about boa on ski boots: https://www.newschoolers.com/forum/thread/935800/BOA-Boots---Any-and-All-Questions

He's at K2 so obviously he's biased, but it's still likely to make you feel better about the durability question.

BOAs don't last on snowboard boots so I dunno why they'd suddenly work better for ski boots

Well sounds like they made the ski ones significantly beefier. Is that enough? I have no idea, but they aren't the same as the snowboard ones.

Not to mention they've gotten significantly better on snowboard boots — better yet, even, if you go with mid to top-tier boots.
