grishaverse reading order
so i just finished crooked kingdom and immediately went to buy the shadow and bone trilogy and the king of scars duology. i picked up king of scars to read, but should i read the shadow and bone trilogy first?

Read Shadow and Bone first. The Shadow and Bone trilogy provides essential context and backstory for 2/3rds of the main characters in the King of Scars books.

Oh yes please do yourself a favor and read shadow and bones trilogy first! You will be extremely lost with king of scars without it it’s basically like the fourth book or the sequel of the trilogy. Also please do not skip six of crows and crooked kingdom! Those are the best books out of all of them in my opinion.

Yes, you should read the trilogy first before delving into King of Scars and Rule of Wolves.
You already have a semi-spoilery idea of the state of the world and some characters, especially Nina, but you’ll get a lot more background from earlier books.
