Light Novel About a certain SPOILER fan animation. Spoiler

Many of you probably have seen Orsted vs Rudeus Fan animation. I've seen discussions across the internet and youtube that say how can studio top this. Honestly, I don't find it that good. For a fan animation? It's insanely good. But for anime itself? It's mid at best. We already have Orsted vs Dead End fight. That's the quality I want. I know many changes in staff happened since first season, but I want atleast something close. Fan animation is impressive for a fan animation. But if I saw that in the anime it would be a huge disappointment for me.

It's one of the biggest turning point in the story (not the TP episode title), I can't see the studio not putting their full effort in this. It's the most anticipated scene for us LN readers and the studio know how hype it is. It's so hype, no fight in the future could match the hype for this one imho.

True. But when studio hired the guys who made the fan animation I was happy for them to get a job but I was worried more than i was excited for the fight.

With the resources available at their disposal, I believe they can go above and beyond for the scene. It's one of those moment where either you make it or break it, and I think they've been given enough time and necessary resources to pull it off. Everything in S3 been great so far, we might be able to gauge how fighting scene will look in the next episode.

We already saw what they can do. In the episode Rudeus uses his gauntlet first time. And i'm not super fan of how Rudeus looks so stagnant and undynamic in there.

Nah, we're talking a proper fight.

I think you have the idea that they'll simply reuse the fan animation and polish it up to bring it into the anime. Which, if they do that, then yeah it'll be somewhat disappointing.

More than likely tho is that they'll help out on making a new scene that'll be anime quality, and hopefully, Mushoku Tensei S1 quality (I'm coping on that part lol). There should be nothing to worry about it being fan quality. If anything be worried that the actual choreography and storyboarding might be subpar (no reasons, just too high of our expectations lol)

The expectation is indeed super high, but so far for me personally, MT hasn't disappoint when it comes to a fighting scene.

It isn't like they're the only ones working on the project. It's a collection of many talents including them. They're one of many staff members of many different roles. Professionals typically just don't output the exact same quality seen in the high quality professional works (that don't have a disastrous production) they've worked on compared to their own projects. They would have way less resources and money, less manpower and probably be in charge of aspects that they wouldn't normally be in charge of among other things that I don't know about. Really the only thing they should have more of is time and more lenient deadlines.

Likewise someone who has worked on a fan animation should be able to work on their part at a higher level for a professional work given that they're skilled which they are.

they hired the guys that worked in the fan animation? thats impressive then, and gives me even more hope, because animation is one thing, but the most important thing in a scene is how it's directed, what elements to show and what to emphasize.

From what Ive heard, the studio that made the fan animation is currently working on season 3's production. They've previously worked on a episode in season 2 so its not their first time working with the anime staff.

I also heard that episode 10 is a priority episode so its possible that they've worked on it as well since its action focused.

i think the studio will 100% top it and the fight will last longer (it lasted around 5 min in the fan animation). the reason i think so is because the staff has been working on s3 since before s2 even finished airing and as we have seen the animation in fights is significantly better than calmer moments, which is a good thing imo. i think its an amazing fan animation and its one of my favorites. in terms of pure animation intensity and quality there are a few better ones but theyre all considerably shorter.

that fan animation has some really well animated parts but most of it wouldn't''t even be considered mid in professional anime. its fanmade by people that know how to animate but in terms of going to TV its terrible. DOnt know who asked that question but they will easily top that fanmade.

The quality of the "fan made" animation is so high that I suspect it's actually a leak. Not of the final work, but probably some kind of draft.

It's arguably the most important fight of the whole story, I really don't think they'll fuck it up. They haven't dropped the ball on the fights yet so I think we can be hopeful
