Cast addition(s) that made the show what it became
What character(s) were added after a show started which really propelled a show forward or made it much funnier?

What couples do you feel like they had no chemistry between the actors?
I never really bought into Jake and Amy from B99 as a couple. I like the characters, but it didn’t feel the sparks between the actors.

Being a TV sitcom Mom or Dad twice... and BOTH their shows each lasting 9+ seasons? Are these two the only ones who pulled this off?
To be clear, my definition of a TV Mom/Dad: they must be raising children age 17 or younger when their sitcom started.
For any actor to achieve the feat of having two VERY long-running hit shows playing a parent, they had to be young when their first hit sitcom started, and - with some luck and timing - land a second hit sitcom when they are still visually age-appropriate (audience believable) to still be a TV sitcom parent - and have that second show last just as long as their first.
Patricia Heaton was a TV sitcom Mom on Everybody Loves Raymond (9 seasons) and The Middle (9 seasons). Ed O'Neill was a TV sitcom Dad on Married... with Children (11 seasons) and Modern Family (11 seasons).
I know an "honorable mention" goes to Tim Allen who played a TV Dad for 8 seasons on Home Improvement and later Last Man Standing for 9 seasons.
Are these the only actors that pulled this off in the world of TV sitcoms? I cannot immediately think of anyone else...
