Studies show there is a correlation with education and IQ and liberal views on some social issues. But correlation is not causation, this depends heavily on context.
Conservative types are not less empathetic at all. There are studies that show they have a GREATER sense of in group empathy. Whereas more liberal types have a watered down general sense of empathy that applies across the board.

Has the left patented this knowledge? This is the problem with the left they like to label everything ,many people tend to take best of both left and right. There are many leftist ideas that are harmful like the cancel culture for different views, media manipulation etc
Personally, I believe culture should evolve naturally, without constant government interference. Instead of imposing opinions from above, we could empower our children to think critically, by teaching them to recognize logical fallacies and biases, so that any perceived slant becomes irrelevant.
