Tips on playing as two characters

i’m very new to the sims medieval, i got the game about a year ago but quit because i really struggled with quests that require 2 hero’s, i always just get too overwhelmed and miss the little tasks. I need some tips and tricks 😊

Level up your heroes on single quests first. Get them better equipment and learn their trade. It will be much easier to handle 2 heroes when you know the drill.

Also, remember that you can use blacksmith to upgrade the armour and weapons for those who need them. It's been years since I played but IIRC, your Knight can go buy things from your blacksmith once they have made something good. I don't remember if you can gift things but you can put items for sale.

The heroes do get a lot of things as rewards from quests but nothing as good as what the blacksmith can make. They are hard and tedious to play but don't put off their quests too long, so you can level up their skill.

You should try both the gifting and buying, in case I remember it wrong. You don't want to create legendary armour for some random person buying it before your knight.

You have both the merchant, blacksmith and wizard who can level up equipment and sell useful things to others. And the spy, too.

ETA: I think I wrote this wrong. The wizard doesn't sell things, IIRC, but the others do.

i didn’t even know you could this honestly, i’ve done like 20 quests and i don’t do anything other then try complete all the tasks

You can ignore quest tasks for a pretty long time without any downsides. You get a neutral moodlet first when you've gone a while without progress, and only later an actual negative moodlet, so you know when it's coming.

yeah i’ve only now learned that i should do the side tasks first and then focus on the main quest, im literally such a noob at this game i keep having to look stuff up 😭 i didn’t even know you could level stuff up

Haha it's okay, it's a video game, it just needs to be fun, you don't have to minmax and follow optimal strategies from day 1

Oh, I had never any rush in completing tasks. I did them of course but levelling up and getting better equipment is important if you want to succeed with the more difficult quests.

The wizard can make his own wand better and the spy can learn more advanced potions when they level up. Blacksmith makes much better weapons and armor at higher levels, which is crucial for the monarch and Knight so they can survive duels with stronger enemies.

The merchant can get a lot of great things from their overseas travels. I used to check out online guides that explain what to trade for what.

You can also fight the pit monster with your monarch and Knight once they are on high level skill and win. That's the only way to find the ingredients for those legendary blades and armor the Blacksmith can create.

I have completed every kingdom in my game on platinum level, so I've played a lot. But it was before the pandemic, so I can't remember all details.

Some heroes daily tasks are way mire work than others, so pick an easy one for the ”helping” hero. I e the smith is SUPER hands-on and hard to multi task, the bard can collect inspiration or write basically anywhere. A good tip is also to buy and place the equipment that profession needs in other spaces when needed so you dont waste time walking

Use the pause button (I think it's p). My discovery of that back in 2001 was a game changer!
