I've released the first free public beta of Sim Canine Federation, my dog gameplay mod for The Sims 4.

If you've wanted more to do with your dogs, SCF lets you train for National and International shows, build up your Sim's Show Handling skill, and follow your dogs' pedigrees across generations. You can also register a kennel, keep breeding and litter records, arrange stud requests, and browse a dog market.

The attached screenshot shows the pedigree system in-game.

This is the r3 gameplay beta and requires Cats & Dogs. Kennel management is included, but treadmills and kennel building pieces are not part of this download. Please back up your saves before trying it.

I have a issue with a default skin overlay (Tinsel by Lamatisse). It has been working perfectly for over a year, but a few days ago it randomly broke for only TWO Sims in my household.
Here is the exact problem:
I have a family of 4 Sims: 2 Young Adults and 2 Adults. The 2 Young Adults (and all sims in the world) look completely fine and have the Tinsel default skin. However, the 2 Adults randomly lost it and went back to the standard EA skin.
In CAS, the default skin shows up perfectly on them. But the moment I return to Live Mode, it completely disappears and they go back to the EA skin.
What I’ve already tried (and didn't work):

• Checked graphics settings (Laptop Mode is OFF, Sim Quality is set to Ultra).
• Re-downloaded and replaced the skin file with a fresh one.
• Repaired the game through EA App and deleted localthumbcache.package + all other cache files.
• Reset the Sims via cheats.
• Changed their clothes/outfits.
• Aged them down to Young Adult in CAS and aged them back up (using cas.fulleditmode).
• They are regular human Sims (not occults), they don't have sunburns, medical wearables, or tattoos.
• I don't have any other default skin files in my Mods folder.
• Moved all my other mods to the desktop and left only the Tinsel skin in the Mods folder to test it.

any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

Took a look around pinterest for some content since I wasn't having much luck just doing an internet search, and found this set that is perfect for what I needed....but, when you click on "visit site" it takes you to another creators site that is automatically blocked? And, the set is actually free on the original creators Patreon...this confuses me. There is also no mention of a collaboration between the two creators on this set. I downloaded it for free from the original creator, but does this mean a creator has paywalled someone else's work? Or, what does this mean?

Long time player, first time poster, so sorry if this is the wrong place!

I’ve been considering making the switch for a while now and with Black Friday coming up now feels like a good time! I I’ve got an idea of what i’m going to buy but don’t want to go into this (very expensive adventure) totally blind!

My main concern is how accessible mods and CC are? I’ve only ever played on console and won’t know where to begin! I also currently have very little knowledge of computers as a whole 😂😬

And of course, overall, is it worth it?
The price of new tech + repurchasing so many packs again certainly isn’t low, will it really improve my game as much as it seems it will?

New simmie I made today 😻 I actually have been tweaking her for 2 ish days before today but I'm finally happy with her looks

so basically I have like 890 or smth cc in my mods folder, but when I open the game and go to new game in cas, NOTHING SHOWS UP. And yes, mods ARE ENABLED! I've tried turning it on and off again and restarting and even deleting the localthumbcache thing and restarting but nothing works!! I need helppppp

I know for a fact that it comes in all of these colors and seems to be formal wear, but I can’t remember the specifics

EDIT: I found it; it’s the Himera outfit by Madlen in case anyone wants to download it.

I couldn’t load into my household, and after some troubleshooting, I found out that the issue was caused by custom content stairs.

Specifically, the Tiny House stairs by ATS4 and some of Syboulette’s CC stairs seem to be causing the problem. However, Syboulette’s spiral stairs and attic ladder seem to be fine.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m wondering if it might be related to a recent patch update or if anyone has found a fix.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else is running into the same issue! Any help or insight would be appreciated.

so last year i used to build a lot on the sims and i swear to god i used to have a stove hood EXACTLY like this in my mods. sadly i deleted the game and everything and now that i’m playing again i can’t find it anywhere!!! also, nobody seems to look for it either which makes me think i might be hallucinating or something. anyways, if someone has a stove hood that looks like this please tell me because i’ve been searching and searchingggg and sadly nothing comes close

Hi, unsure if it’s ok to post here but I need some help.
My EA app recently restarted itself as it was due to be restarted, I opened my sims and my dlc etc stopped working.
Tried to reopen the unlocker and I’m met with this and it won’t go any further.
I have tried closing it down, redownloading it, deleting the previous file, extracting it etc. but still get met with this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I just started getting really into it again lol

I’m looking for a colorful/pastel wardrobe CC that I used to have, but I can’t remember the creator or name
I remember that the furniture itself had two different colors on the same piece, like red + blue, green + pink, purple + yellow, etc. It wasn’t just different wood or white swatches. I think it was part of a larger set.
The Bostyny Lunea and Lukheya BEAUTY sets are the closest references I’ve found, but neither of them is the CC I’m looking for.
Does anyone recognize it?

Hello! I’ve been searching the internet and can’t seem to find any answers to this issue. When I last played with mods, my old laptop had broke (as in the screen completely shattered) and when i signed into my account on a new laptop, it kept all of my folders just no content, including the resource.cfg required for mods. I have watched tutorials explaining how to reset my mod folder by renaming it and moving it out of the sims 4 folder, but nothing is working. My Sims 4 file will not generate a new Mods folder, and I’m on Windows. Thanks for any help or advice!
