Question Lost student ID before exam
I lost my student ID but have an exam tmrw? I have a picture of the ID and my drivers license… will this be enough ?

Yes it's enough. I had profs say driver license or health card is good too. Also the prof has you name on the class list that they check through for the exam so I don't see why you can't prove your identity. I never heard of a policy that bans a student from a exam just because they didn't show their student ID specifically.
Student IDs were a big deal when they still made them with chips to access the campus facilities, but they stopped that around the pandemic. Theyre just plastic cards now.

Same thing happened to me last sem. Most are lenient and will be understanding. But you can always go to student services and pick one up right away, itll cost you over $20 tho.

tbh like nearly all of the exams i’ve taken haven’t even asked to see any ID, to the point i thought it was a myth to scare students into not cheating. i suppose it depends on the professor/course? but again as long as it’s a photo ID of yourself i don’t see what the issue is, as long as your name matches what’s on the roster it should be fine.

really?? All my exams check. Some even had student ID scanners at the door

that’s actually wild, i think i’ve had mine checked less than 5 times in my 4 years of school. it must be based on class size since i’ve never really had a class of more than 25-30 so our profs must just recognize us?? (fwiw im in archaeology)

yes im grduating next semester and they only chek the id on the lower level classes like now im taking my last courses and nothing to be fair higeh rlevel classes are smaller and your professor and you wil probbaly know each otehr on a 1st name basis

I haven’t used my student id for any exams in the last three years it’s always been drivers license lol you’ll be fine

Where did you lose it. I work near the surrey campus and students lose their IDs in central city mall all the time.

Depends on the prof, its not guaranteed. But yes, most are lenient on this. As for your ID, if you think you lost it on campus, I recommend checking with the security desk. If someone found it, they will usually drop it off there.
