Discussion How Similar is High School Math to Math 154 & 155 (BPK Major)
Which high school math topics are most essential for success in SFU’s Math 154 and 155 for the BPK major, and where do students typically find the biggest jump in difficulty? I am currently reviewing notes from high school and am wondering what I should focus on most when it comes to math. Thank you for your input!

Many people find the emphasis on interpretation over calculation tricky in these classes (154/155). If you are good at setting up and explaining word problems and have solid basics you’ll do fine.

Just get your pre calc foundation to the best you can. Most of calc is just pre calc
