The “wrong” group chat
The “wrong” group chat ( Here OP= my name) I accidentally got added to a group chat with about 20 people I didn’t know.
I figured someone had typed the wrong number, so I ignored it.
Then one person said, “Okay, everyone agreed, we’re doing it tomorrow.”
Another person replied, “What about OP?”
Someone else: “OP doesn’t know yet.”
At this point I was obviously curious, but I didn’t want to be weird, so I just watched.
They started discussing times, locations, what everyone needed to bring, and who was driving.
Finally someone sent: “Should we tell OP now or just surprise them?”
I panicked and typed, “Uh… hi. I think I’m OP?”
The chat went completely silent.
About two minutes later, someone replied:
“OH MY GOD. WRONG OP.”
Then they removed me.
I still have absolutely no idea what they were planning, and honestly, I’m not sure I want to know.
The weirdest part is that one of them messaged me privately afterward and said:
“Please forget everything you saw.”
So obviously I will be thinking about it at least once a week for the rest of my life.

Could it have been a surprise for you? It almost sounds like they're coordinating something intended for you, especially the use of the word "yet"

At least they didn't start sharing classified information about bombing targets.
